The Missions of Life Centre School

Providing education to orphans, street children and the less fortunate.

Education is key to lift these children out of poverty by helping them to find jobs when the finish school

Most of the school's 250-300 students would not receive an education without Life Centre. They cannot afford to attend either public or other private schools in Kisumu, but because of the financial support provided by the Kisumu Fund, pay little to no school fees to attend Life Centre

Providing housing to homeless children

Up to 20 children sleep on mattresses in the school on any given night

Up to an additional 20 children sleep in the mud-walled building behind Alice and Jame's house

There need for housing for homeless children exceeds the available capacity at the school and Alice and Jame's house

Addressing food insecurity experienced by most of their students

LCS provides breakfast and lunch to the students, which, for many, are the primary or sole source of nutrition

Alice's gardens at their rural

Providing access to vocational training
-
Pastor James and Alice rescue teenage boys living on the streets and give them a place to live, food to eat and support while they adjust to being off the streets

Once they are better, the boys, depending on their age, either go to school at LCS or begin to work at an auto repair shop
